Flying home for Christmas on Thursday. I am pretty excited. Christmas in the mountains, with a possibility of actual snow.
And, the year is almost over. I guess this has been a good year, as far as personal growth has gone, but between my grandmother dying and other things, it's been a year I will not really miss. So f*** it, it's gone.
So I have had this streak going for a long time, now, of being sick on either my birthday or Christmas. Usually nothing bad, though when I was 23 I had the chicken pox for Christmas. That was badass. This year I was fine for my birthday, and I thought I was going to be okay all year, but I started having a bit of a sore throat a few days ago, and with the help of some wonderful pictures and informative websites, I have decided it's tonsillitis! F***ing A! I'll be fine.
New Years Resolutions, while I think they are a great idea, are never really followed. But, here are some of mine, nonetheless.
1. I am going to try really hard to stop swearing so much. I swear to myself at home alone, and that's a bad thing. At the very least, I want to see 'fuck' disappear from my vocab.
2. I want to skydive. I have said this for years...
YEARS I TELL YOU, but this year, hopefully, will be the year I do it. Flinging myself out of a plane with some thin material attached to my back seems like such a good idea. And if any of you want to buddy up and go with, let me know. Seriously.
3. Hike more. Get outside more often in general. Red Rock, Mt. Chas, Valley of Fire, hell even the Strip are all right around here and I tend to sit on my ass every weekend. And if any of you want to buddy up and go with, let me know. Fo' real!
4. Blue Man.
5. Write more. Blogging, short stories, lyrics, poetry... whatever, but I enjoy it and I cannot get any worse by practicing. All for me, none for you. Except the blogs, I guess.
6. Be a little more punctual when it comes to paying bills. Jaysus, Sprint is so persnickety...
Okay, I am not going to share them all, because that would bore you all to repainting your bathrooms, but it would thrill my pinky toes if you bloggertonians shared some NYR with everyone else. Go on, it's fun.

I fell out of the back of a wine delivery truck yesterday. And I was sober.
Nothing makes me smile like getting home on a Friday, having the whole weekend ahead of me, and ALSO getting to read some poetry about the one and only Bitchcake by everyone's favorite
Hysterikal man...
Holla!
