Is the store haunted? Apparently, a guy died of dehydration in the bathroom a while back, before I worked there, and also, Marcie swears the building is built on an ancient burial ground. Maybe that's pushing it, but the guy dying of dehydration, maybe. Crazy tourists. I had to work an overnight last night, and there were suppose to be three of us, but Tony called out, so it was me and Brad. Brad brought a mix CD. Nine Inch Nails, Manson, godsmack, Rammenstein, ect. I had Barenaked Ladies and DMB. Opposite ends there. Anyway, all was well most of the night. Working, music, working. About three a.m., I turned off the music for a while, just to have some quiet. A bit later, Brad came up, looking a little...White, and told me he was in the bathroom, looking at the changing station (There's really nothing else to do) and he swears someone knocked on it. I do think he tends to exaggerate things sometimes, so I asked him if he was sure it wasn't just the air conditioner kicking on or something. No, definitely knocking ON the changing station at which he was staring. IN the bathroom where a guy died. So he tells me this and goes back to work. A bit later, I hear boxes being dropped and moved around some by the back wall, to my RIGHT. I think it's Brad, don't give it a second thought, but then I happen to see Brad, way off to the LEFT, nowhere near the back wall, stocking cloth placemats. No was he could have moved that fast, and he wasn't near any boxes anyway. Was it something or was it maybe just us being tired and alone in a big building?;-) Neither of us used the men's room again. Women's all the way, yo. I hate overnights. At least ones where I have to work.

CD of the moment, BNL: Greatest Hits.

Everybody just say, "Ahhh."

Sitting here listening to the new Barenaked Ladies. Four songs in, so far so good. There is a great song called Another Postcard. It's a whiteboy from Canada rap. A Don Juan the Love Monkey song.

hookt on fonix werkt for me... I hate those shirts.

Dammit, I sit here and try to put down thoughts, and nothing comes out. All I have typed up to this point right.... NOW, all that took me like 15 minutes. My co-workers tell me I talk too much. Actually, Sarah has said the same thing. I talk to hear my own voice. I do voices that make the wine vendors look at me all funny. I scat-sing while I am wrestling 200lbs tables out of their slots, I have a million thoughts about a million things, but I blank when I try to put anything down. I just sit and stare.

Some guy came into the store today, acted like a dick, and tipped me ten bucks for peeling some stickers off his gift basket items. Thanks for the green but you are still a dick.

Track 7 is good.

I wonder what the Balloon Picasso wanted to be when he was a kid? He makes incredible balloon animals and Mickey Mouses, but how long has that been his dream? Was it ever a dream, or did he just fall into it? Does he go home and write electronica music in odd meters in his spare time? Drumsynth in 7/8 really gets the blood flowing. What he really wants to do is direct.

I never really liked techno or dance music, but this guy at work plays a lot of that in the morning, and it's started growing on me. I don't know if that means I have expanded my tastes or I have dumbed down my tastes;-) but I have caught myself moving to the rhythm more than once. BOOM tsstss BOOM tsstss BOOM tsstss BOOM tsstss.... It's a lot of remixes, Prince to Phil Collins to Debbbie Gibson. That extra 'b' is for bodacious. If anything, it is something else. Something different. Meanwhile, I have turned a metal head into a DMB fan of sorts. Heehee.

Rambling is... Something. Good. Youse guyses are on to something. Why didn't I start a blog earlier? We'd never let someone read a paper journal or diary, "Get the fuck out of my dresser", but if it's electronic, HEY!!! Come on into my head. Have a seat and grab a beer. This is what I am thinking... yeah, really. Yeah, it IS kind random. But so is the ocean. Or IS it? Haha, do you have a flag? (scat singing)

Aloha.

P.S. Shilock, not only do you know me, we have bowled a game or to, yo.

I can't think of anything good to write. Too bad, my last blog at 25 wasted. A sign old age has already gotten to my mind?;-) More likely a sign I am full and tired. I had a great weekend with my friends. Thanks guyses. Strawberry and vanilla lingers. And paper towel tubes.

Who knew a baseball game could make me cry?

I've been a Cubbies fan for about 17 years. Man it hurts.

The Cubs haven't won a World Series since Nineteen Oh Eight! The Marlins won one in 1997.

The Curse of the Goat.

Moises should have shoved those headphones up that guys urethra.

Ah, it's just a game. Back to guitar and DMB.

When I was about 8, there were these toys called M.U.S.C.L.E. Men. I LOVED them! Originally, they were just solid pink. After awhile, they released them in blue and purple and green, ect. but I only liked the pink ones...the originals.

One day, a few years ago, I was on the side of my grandparents house where I used to play as a kid. Sticking out of the dirt was a little pink foot, attached to one of my MUSCLES! I couldn't believe it. The thing had been buried, forgotten, for 15 years, and it was still in great shape. Holding it, all these memories came back, and I started wondering where the rest of my collection was. I spent the next few months looking through boxes in the garage, calling my parents and having them go through boxes, tearing the house apart trying to find them. I HAD to have them again. But they were long gone. Probably given away or sold at a garage sale when I wasn't looking. I ended up going to toy shows and buying some originals, still mint on mint card. I ripped them open the second I got home. I didn't buy them to sit in a package.

I bought more on eBay, and I have about as many as I had when I was a kid. There were 233 in all, but I don't really want all of them. I just wanted my favorites. There are still a few faves I am missing, but I know I'll run across them sooner or later.

But now...now they are re-releasing them. They are now ULTIMATE MUSCLE!!! I am pissed. They still have some in the original pink, but also wrong colors. "Special" gold and silver figures. Two different sizes of figures. Multi colored figures. There is a card game. A cartoon. It's not like I remember. It's a change and I hate changes. Especially when you are changing a memory. It's just another Pokeman craze, now. Dammit.

Actually, I know my memories cannot be changed. And these new figures aren't real M.U.S.C.L.E. Men anymore than Dick Sargent was the real Darrin Stephens. I guess the universe is okay.

Now, I have to go buy some "ULTIMATE MUSCLES" so my M.U.S.C.L.E. Men can kick the shit out of them.
